The basic objective of the Pakistan Kangaroo Commission is of the international character and it brings together personalities from the world of mathematics from a number of countries. It aims to promote the spreading of mathematical culture by all means and, in particular, by organizing an annual international mathematics contest in Pakistan, the International Kangaroo Mathematics Contest. This Contest has been proven to be the most effective event to promote and popularize mathematics at all levels in schools and colleges. The Contest also provides an international recognition to the School children at a very early stage of their life. We definitely want Pakistani children to be part of this recognition. Of course the Contest also makes the young students feel to be part of the international community. This contest gives them an opportunity to prove that at international level their talent is second to none.

We make an effort to give Pakistani children confidence in their ability for comprehending mathematics, help them to understand how mathematics applies in nature's laws and humans activities, develop their ability to derive pleasure and satisfaction through intellectual life and show that mathematical education is significant in any part of the world.
